Overview
Offline conversion tracking in LinkedIn lets you upload leads or deals from your CRM to connect them back to ad clicks. This shows which campaigns drive real sales. This guide explains how to set up LinkedIn offline conversions using Zapier.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Create an offline conversion in LinkedIn Ads

Log in to LinkedIn Campaign Manager.

Go to Account Assets > Conversions.

Click Create conversion.

Choose Offline.

Name your conversion (example: "Closed Deal").

Select an attribution window (default: 30 days).

Click Create.
2. Get your LinkedIn conversion ID

After creating the conversion, click into it.

Copy the Conversion ID shown at the top.
3. Make sure CRM stores key fields
Ensure your CRM has these fields for each lead or deal:

LinkedIn Click ID (li_fat_id)

Conversion name (same as LinkedIn)

Conversion timestamp (when sale happened)
Pro Tip: You need to capture li_fat_id using a hidden form field from the URL when a user fills a form.
4. Set up Zapier integration

Log in to Zapier.

Click + Create Zap.

Choose your CRM as the Trigger (example: New Deal in HubSpot or Salesforce).

Set a Filter to only upload when the deal is closed or qualified.
5. Add LinkedIn Offline Conversions action in Zapier

Add an Action step: search for LinkedIn Offline Conversions.

Connect your LinkedIn Ads account.

Map your CRM fields:

li_fat_id → Click ID

Close date → Conversion time

Conversion name → Conversion name

Enter the LinkedIn Conversion ID you copied earlier.
6. Test the Zap

Run a test with a sample deal.

Check LinkedIn Campaign Manager > Conversions.

Confirm the offline conversion is recorded (may take up to 24 hours).
7. Turn on your Zap

If the test works, turn the Zap ON.

It will now send offline conversions automatically when deals close.
