How to Set Up a Meta Ads Account

Welcome to this step-by-step tutorial on setting up a Meta Ads account.

Follow these instructions to get your Meta Ads account up and running efficiently

 

Create a Facebook Business Page

Before you can set up a Meta Ads account, you need a Facebook Business Page. If you don’t have one yet, create it first.

 

Step 1: Access Meta Business Suite

1. Go to business.facebook.com.

2. Log in to your existing Meta Business Suite account.

 

Step 2: Navigate to Business Settings

1. Once logged into the Meta Business Suite, navigate to the bottom left corner of the screen.

2. Click on Settings.

3. Select Business Settings.

   

 

Step 3: Create an Ad Account

1. In the Business Settings menu, locate and click on Ad Accounts on the left sidebar.

2. Click Create a New Ad Account if you don’t already have one.

3. Enter a name for your ad account, choose the appropriate time zone, and complete any other required fields.

 

Step 4: Assign People to Your Ad Account

1. Select the ad account you just created.

2. Click Assign People.

3. Assign people to your ad account and select their level of control (manage the entire account or specific parts of it).

 

Additional Access Permissions

If you want to give people access to your entire Business Manager:

1. Navigate to Users and select People.

2. Click Invite People.

3. Enter the email addresses of the individuals you want to invite and assign them the appropriate permissions.

 

Update Billing and Payments

1. In the Business Settings, scroll down to Billing and Payments.

2. Add a current credit card to ensure your ad campaigns can be billed properly.

Step 5: Access Ads Manager

1. Go to Tools and select Ads Manager.

2. Choose the ad account you created to start managing your ads.

Step 6: Share Your Ad Account ID

1. Navigate to your ad account in Ads Manager.

2. Find and copy your ad account ID.

3. Share this ID with the team requesting access.
