Here are the top Google Ads terms you should know:

 

  • Search Impression Share: The impressions you’ve received on Google search sites divided by the estimated number of impressions you were eligible to receive.

 

  • Quality Score: An estimate from 1-10 of how relevant your ads, keywords, and landing pages are to a person who sees your ad. Higher Quality Scores typically lead to lower costs and better ad positions.

 

  • MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead): A lead that has been deemed more likely to become a customer compared to other leads, based on lead intelligence, often informed by closed-loop analytics

 

  • Click-Through Rate (CTR): How often your ad is being clicked once it’s seen

 

  • Ad Extension (Google Ads): Ad extensions are additional pieces of information that can be added to Google Ads campaigns. These might include contact details, additional links to specific parts of a website, or more descriptive text. They are designed to improve the visibility and effectiveness of ads.
