AdConversion MOPs Onboarding: What to Expect

3 min. readlast update: 05.02.2025

Overview

Our MOPs (Marketing Operations) onboarding process connects your CRM data with ad platform tracking to power reporting and attribution dashboards. In 4 steps, we align on your CRM setup, integrate data, build dashboards, and enable offline conversion tracking. This guide walks you through what to expect.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. MOPs Kickoff Call (30–45 min)

  • Meet with our MOPs lead for a 30–45 minute call.

  • We’ll review your CRM configuration, attribution setup, and key conversion events.

  • We’ll walk through our MOPs Audit to map fields, stages, and reporting goals.

  • You’ll see a preview of the dashboard we’ll build, showing:

    • Funnel metrics from ad spend to closed-won deals.

    • Drill-down views from campaign to ad-level performance.

    • Trend analysis and pipeline impact tracking.

  • We’ll confirm your data sources, integration needs, and access requirements.

2. CRM Integration Setup

  • Please provide admin access to dev@adconversion.com for your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).

  • We’ll use API access to pull your CRM fields and pipeline data.

  • This powers the data pipelines we’ll use to build the Looker dashboard.

  • If available, please share a data dictionary or documentation of field definitions.

If you don’t have a data dictionary, we’ll work together to label fields after the API pull.

3. Dashboard Development

  • Once CRM access is granted, we’ll:

    • Validate pulled fields and naming conventions with you.

    • Build initial data models in BigQuery and DBT.

    • Start developing dashboards in Looker.

  • You’ll review the first dashboard draft with our MOPs lead.

  • We’ll adjust filters, segments, and views based on your feedback.

  • Dashboards will cover:

    • Executive overview (ad spend to pipeline)

    • Channel-specific reports (LinkedIn, Google, Meta)

    • Campaign and ad-level drilldowns

    • MQL-to-opportunity conversion rates

4. Offline Conversion Tracking Setup

  • After dashboards are built, we’ll align with your RevOps team.

  • We’ll confirm the CRM fields needed to capture click IDs (Google gclid, LinkedIn li_fat_id, Meta fbclid).

  • We’ll ensure form hidden fields are configured to capture IDs.

  • We’ll then connect your CRM to ad platforms to pass offline conversions.

  • This lets ad platforms attribute closed deals back to campaigns.
